My name is Jason Borne, and I founded MILLECOR in 2015 because I had a WHY. As a Marine Corps veteran and active police officer, serving was a way of life; But I had a desire to do more and give back on a larger scale. That WHY is what lead to the creation of MILLECOR.
Starting MILLECOR, the mission was clear: (1) create a lineup of premium products catering to military members, first responders, and their supporters, and (2) give back to non-profit efforts that would benefit veterans, first responders and their families.
As a small, family-owned business, we cherish every customer and feel more like a part of a big family than a business. We are humbled and honored to be able to serve our awesome customers every day.
MILLECOR is a combination of abbreviations that explain who we are and what our mission is.
MIL is the common abbreviation for military. My time as a Marine Corps infantryman in Iraq was an important and formative part of my life.
LE is the common abbreviation for law enforcement. At the time of MILLECOR’s creation, I had been serving as an Austin Police officer for 8 years.
COR was my abbreviation for corps. A nod to my Marine Corps past, it also served to explain the mission of MILLECOR. A corps is two or more groups working together for a mission or purpose. My vision for MILLECOR was to serve first responders and military members/veterans while together working to give back to charities that supported the same.
We are on a mission to give gains and give back. That’s why, with a portion of every order, we give back to non-profit efforts benefitting veterans, first responders, and their families.
